WWII Rolex Pocket Watches. Questions

I've been seeing those WWII Rolex Pocket Watches on eBay.

Since I know nothing about them. What can the collective tell me about them?

Do they keep time, Can you get a new face for them and on and on.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is possible for them to keep accurate time if they are within service interval and functional. It would be wrong to replace the dial on any vintage piece. I'd even say that it's worse to replace a pocket watch dial. It destroys the history and value of the piece. Avoid replacing anything.

I am looking for a working watch as opposed to a collectable.

G.s.t.p

Rolex was one of many who provided WW2 Watches, the British Army had a G.S.T.P. General Service Time Piece, complete with Government Crows foot stamp's these are ready available by various manufacturers such as Rolex and Omega but they are not water proof..... vintage it not a bad thing but WW2 pocket watches like WW1 Rolex Army watches is a bit of a mine Field, tread carefully. good hunting........
