What marks out the Explorer II as the Polar edition? Is it just the orange GMT hand or something else?

I have a girly 6.5" wrist. My Datejust looks perfect, and my Omega Speedmaster reduced feels great.

Embrace pre owned lol. Price for good example used 40mm polars are on the rise.

I too have 6.5 inch wrists and the polar is the upper most limit that I’ll wear. It’s an amazing watch. Can’t help but feel that you’re in this little fraternity of polar wearers. You don’t see them too much in the wild.

Explorer II is my go to watch when I travel across the pond. Given that the Explorer II is not as ubiquitous as the Submariner, I don't have to worry about drawing too much attention to what I'm wearing on my wrist.

I'm liking the Polar way too much lately. Tried one on yesterday and lm loving it now. I also love my Air King but if I want to pull the trigger now the AK, just bought new in December would have to go..

Thinking, Should I ??

I don't think there is a 'polar', just white or black dial. The black dial us easier to read in 'polar' conditions. The dial stands out better against the snow. Only my humble opinion.

Possibly my favorite watch of all time.

I’m sure the black stands out more in the snow.

But for me, the white is way more legible, than any other watch Ive worn, the absolute vast majority of the time.

My favourite watch, white Explorer II. I am thinking of getting the black Exp II as well.

Nice pair you have there.

I have the older model in pair as well. These are awesome watches and still considered value for money at the moment

It seems that they changed the dial a bit,, look at the orange ''2'' from explorer 2 under the perpetual date in black now the 2 is more in the middle between the l and the d on the older version the 2 is more to the left and lined with the l of perpetuaL i just mentioned that. LOL..

Yes indeed! Wow...now that you mentioned i wonder if there is anything else that they change on the dial? If I’m being honest never a big fan of Explorer 2 until recently. Seems more appealing.....

this watch is fantastic, and every moment you wear it any longer it is better and better…. I am sure now that this watch is 100%% my favorite one!! I like the black dial too.. all with all very very 100%% happy that i choose this watch over the GMT's or LV... I followed my brain with choosing this)
