Sorry, I meant to write: Anyone have any personal experience with these all black onyx dials? It looks incredible, but it takes some balls to wear it.

Cool looking watch. Clean dial. Don’t know if I could deal with the complete lack of hour markers though.

Would you consider this watch rare? Thinking of picking one up for around $14k. Thoughts?

Dial is nice, but pretty hellish trying to set the right time.

Yes, 18038. From the late 70’s. How many of you wear yellow gold? I never have and might find it on my wrist only on the weekends. I work in dentistry so my hands and watch are in people faces all day.

Lol! I don’t have the balls to wear gold in the office though. But that might change:) I just turned 40, always pictured gold Rolexes as old timers watches...here I am now.

Rolex assumes if you wear a Day-Date, then you have people who deal with such trivial matters

w

Just received it today. It is a bright piece. Looks out of place with jeans on in my opinion, but boy, does it have presence. It needs one more link to fit comfortably, I just ordered one more. Anyways, very happy with this Day Date, my one and only.

Yes, the first pick I posted on the thread was of the general watch I wanted, not the actual watch I purchased. That has a Russian day wheel.
