What is the part number for the crown

Hi,
Can you please help me with the exact part number for the crown with the triple lock (three dots) of the 5513 from 1973?

Thanks ahead

Emmanuel

I think you are referring to a 702 trip lock crown.
Replacements ones are the 703(with the gasket).

Can the watch maker fit the 703 easily instead of the 702?
Or should I inquire a 702 what ever the cost is?!

Thanks

Emmanuel

Yes the 703 goes right in but the tube gets changed with the crown.

I spend my free time changing them back.

And the 702 would also have three dots, but no visible o-ring when unscrewed.

The latest is the "monoblock" 704, which is a 703 made from a stainless solid, rather than a stainless wrapped brass crown. Time will tell if this was a good idea or not. I think they will start to have galling issues stainless on stainless.

So, correct for your watch is a 702 and 7020 tube
Service replacement is a 703 (and 7030 tube)

All of the above can be found new if you search hard enough. (actually 703's are easy to find. I have several [used] if you hit a wall)

702’s are not nearly as easy to find and will cost a pretty penny when you do.

Just have to be patient. I’ve found two NOS in the little bubble in the last few years. NOS tubes are much harder to find and require broaching the drive splines out after insertion or the crown doesn’t fit! I think I have two more of those NOS but not in their bubble.

Now the older 700 twin lock- that’s hard to find new anymore. I only have one new in the bubble but several good used ones. Good quality tubes are reproduced for them.
