Nothing grabs the light like a fluted bezel.

Fluted. To me that is very "Rolex" especially
Compared to the smooth which can look very similar to many other watches.

I think fluted is gorgeous, but the new fluted on the larger datejust is a little overwhelming to me. I think the fluted on the 36 is great but unless you want something very blingy, I would go with the smooth bezel on the larger one.

One of the issues I have with smooth bezel watches is how scratched they get so quickly

What do you guys think ?
Its not a Rolex unless its a fluted bezel........

Got to be honest not sure which way I would go here. $2,000 more for the bezel ?!?!?
I may just got with the polished bezel for the difference. I do agree a fluted bezel on a datejust is very attractive but not sure I'd shell out the extra bucks for it.

not sure about jubilee bracelet with the fluted bezel (or any bezel). I think the smooth one balances it out nicely

The fluted doesn’t show ANY scratches. My wife’s is 3 years old and looks great. The way it’s made is that it hides everything. Like the jubilee bracelet. I owned a dj41 for 5 months before flipping it for a djii because I wanted something a little bigger. I can tell you other then the clasp it looked brand new. Now the oyster bracelet with the polished center links. Don’t stare at it too hard or it will scratch lol. But I think the oyster looks slightly better. If you get fluted and jubilee your watch will look new forever.

I know the fluted bezel is gold, the engine turned is stainless steel, but what material is the smooth, gold or stainless steel?

If white it is stainless unless it’s a all platinum watch. Like a DD. If it’s yellow or rose then it’s 18k gold.

Definitely fluted bezel.
As it’s a large DJ you don’t want to have a huge smooth bezel to attract scratches.

My two favorite combinations are smooth with jubilee OR fluted with oyster. Love the DJ41
