New SD43 126600 Father's Day gift!

So, first real post on here, although i've been lurking around trying to learn over the past couple years. Hello everyone

Long story short, i'm new to Rolex and my wife was all set to purchase (at a slight discount) a new z-blue Milgauss from our local AD who we had never purchased from before, as a Father's Day gift. It was the first Rolex that caught my attention.

However, 5 days ago both the z-blue and black Milgauss's were both sold (after she had agreed to buy the z-blue and was assured it would be there for her).

Needless to say, she got a call from the AD later that afternoon saying that they got a surprise shipment in and even though there are multiple people on the list in front of us (they told us a 12-18 month wait for this watch) they could give her a shot at the SD43 126600 if she wanted it.

This was my grail, the one Rolex I wanted above all others but figured I wouldn't see for quite a long time. Particularly since I didn't have an established relationship with any AD. She jumped on it.

I was overwhelmingly surprised when the wife and kids presented it to me.

I haven't taken it back to the AD yet to get a link or two out and the divers extension removed (as well as the stickers ), but hoping to do that tomorrow :)

Here's a quick pic for now:

I think this quite better than a Milgauss! Wonderful gift and good on your AD for trying to make the mix up right with giving her a shot at this wonderful watch. Wear it well and looking forward to some wrist shots!

Hell yeah, I'd take that over a Milgauss 100x over. Dang, all I got for father's day was a card and dinner. I've been ripped off!

I do love the z-blue though, and it's what really got me looking deeper into Rolex. I do have to give my AD credit....my wife was pretty upset at them and they went really above and beyond. Thanks!

Probably the best "bad news" you can get. Sorry the AD sold the milguass that they promised...so here's a SD43! Congrats from a e92 M3 owner!
