I have that exact box except mine is the "wooden" one. it's a fine box with plenty of room for each watch, and I like the drawer. The cheap hinges on the lid broke after about a month. It still works fine, but I won't buy another Volta.

I have this one. For $31, it's pretty stinkin good. Does what it should and has a little drawer below for my wallet (thin), ring, etc. My wife's watches are in it as well but they do not fit very well on the pillows as they are too large for her tiny wrist. Haha.

Was drawn to the additional draw for spare and straps. Seems like from your experience they didn’t but the quality on the hinges, a key component. I am seeing the £135-155 price point, so definitely more options around. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He used to make the boxes with different woods. Is he down to a single option now? I can’t seem to contact him directly through eBay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Custom made to your own specs is the best.

Just to come back on this thread, I ultimately went for two leather watch boxes by Byron and Brown. They hold 4 watches each, are very nicely finished/made plus the leather is good quality. Heavy too indicating pretty good quality. Spacing is decent between the watches so no risk of clashing etc. Even the cushions have raisers at the bottoms to make sure that the bracelet doesn't grind at the bottom. Only minor issue is the the diameter of the cushions is smaller than my wrist size (7.25") so the watches arent perfectly snug around the cushions.
Very very pleased overall. For under $100 a box they are cracking value too. https://byronandbrown.co.uk/products/leather-watch-box/ |

Can anyone recommend a small box (4 or 6 watches) that also has a drawer or space for straps? I have a growing collection of straps and I'd like to just keep them in the box but most of the ones that have drawers are huge (like 20 watches) or they have small spots for things like rings/cufflinks but no larger open space.

I actually have an different question regarding the watch rolls or boxes. I currently have a drawer dedicated to my collection so they tend to lay on the side with the crown facing up.
My wrist is smaller so the bracelet is usually quite small when I remove the links for sizing. Although modern bracelets are fairly robust... anyone concerned if the cushion of a watch roll or case would stretch the bracelet especially if you have to tightly squish the cushion when you click/lock the bracelet? |

Yeah, you’re probably right but I have a shoe shine box (given to me by my grandfather) that looks exactly like that. It just reminds me of that scene from goodfellas (“go get your f#€£ink shine box, kid!”) when it’s in the closed position.
Looks very sharp when it’s open though. |
