Removing ringlock text on DSSD?

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Has anyone seen a DSSD with its "Original Gas Escape Valve....Ring Lock System" text removed or with its appearance diminished (i.e. black coloring removed and just engraving remains)?

I reached out to a couple of watchmakers/customizers asking if it was possible (chemically, via laser-welding, or other method).

I either got no response or they said they weren't interested in the work because the text is "laser etched". From what I have read laser etching can only be removed via scraping metal off? I'm guessing this would compromise the case?

DSSD is the perfect watch for me otherwise.

Agree that the text doesn't look good, but I think it'd be tough and expensive to remove.

Do you own the watch? Originally I thought the text was annoying from pictures, but when handling in person, it goes great.

If you want to spend a lot of money to significantly devalue your watch, you're the owner and that is your choice, I'd highly recommend against.

Perhaps you could turn the ring lock around and have the blank end facing up? Lol

They did revise the font for 2018 so it appears slightly thinner:

Yes, but the DSSD would be the perfect watch otherwise

That bloomin' star on my Mercedes.
It's always out there, in my eyeline.

That GMT script on my watch, it's always in my face.

The little snow cap on my Mont-Blanc, it's really irritating.

Maybe I shouldn't have bought them?

I was thinking simply filling the text with Devcon could work.

Although I never change a Rolex as it is, I wonder if you can not make a very thin metal ring and place it on the text, so that you can always return to its original shape, I think the original ring does not touch the glass, so there would be space.

If it is an issue then go with a different watch. The SD43.

Blacking it out completely might be more to your liking. A big raw washer in there will look like $#:+.
