<<< The very first TRF post >>>

I thought it might be interesting to see who made the very first post on TRF.

Does anyone have a link?

I came up with this but I’m not sure this is it:

I think the first one was:

I'm going on vacation next week, is it safe to wear my Rolex to Bikini Atoll?

I’m pretty sure when this forum started, the “is it safe” threads weren’t even an afterthought.

Many people say it was an 'is it safe' question...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>

Cool fact, the engraved Rolex rehaut ring was the big Rolex news at Basel 2004.

That's it. Thanks for coming to Basel... You can all go home now.

That’s interesting - I wonder why the first generation Sub LV’s didn’t have an engraved rehaut? They were released in 2004.

It took a couple years. They first came out in 2003 but weren't engraved until late 2005 if memory serves. My 2005 LV wasn't engraved but was also a leftover that my AD had trouble selling. Those were the days.

I'd love to hear the story behind the bans.

I think it was “I’m stuck with this silly old Rolex chronograph that no one wants. How can I sell it”.

Brian's link looks older. The topic number (t=3 vs 549) is much lower on his.

2 and 1 don't seem to exist.

Thanks for this Erik

Looks like AJ is still active here, which is great to see.

I wonder whatever happened to Mark the founder?

I don’t think so. Anyone in the “original 10” members is more like TRF royalty.

Don't get me wrong, we used to rib JJ a lot and he'd call us all tossers. Lovely memories.
