Icon5 Rolex DD Roman Numbers YG vs WG on only watch

Hello everyone,

I am going to buy the Day Date 40 in either yellow gold with the white Roman Dial or White gold with Blue Roman Dial and I wanted to reach out and hear you thoughts before i make my purchase.

1) Would you buy either YG or WG and why? I am worried that the YG may be too much bling for me and may make a statement that it not me.

2) I am a finance professor and I am going to reward myself for turning 50. I currently own a Batman, and 39mm Exporer I and a Datejust 41 with Silver dial. I will be selling all 3 of my watches and the resale value seems very low on the DJ 41 about 60% of what I paid. The DD 40 will be my only watch.

Is the Resale value higher on YG vs the WG? I hope I never have to sell but after a few years, I sometimes want something else.

3) What percent discount should I push for my AD that is realistic on PM?

Thank you in advance for you thoughts and I am so excited to have found my only watch for the next 10 year or so. I am really excited about the Day Date 40, I always thought the DD 2 seems to chunky for my taste.

Thank you in advance :+)
