Learners photos

Been listening to the latest Coldplay album non stop, thought I should take some pictures. I'm still learning, please comment how I can improve.
All 4 photos are taken using Canon Powershot 620 point and shoot camera on a tripod. First 3 on Aperture priority set at F8.0, shutter at approx 1/25s. Last photo lume shot on Tv priority, 4 seconds and I aperture at F4.0.

Thanks guys :-) Their album art is perfect for photo backgrounds.

You take great pics! Lighting seems to play a HUGE factor in the ambiance of a photo. try setting up overhead lights and mess with the angle you take the photo.

Very nice pix, good depth of field at f8, excellent work.
Are you using a tripod for the time exposure with the timer delay feature? Have you tried time exposure on f8, how was it? Do you have manual focus feature on your camera?

BTW one of your Rolex is +/- one second

Thanks Eddie, yes, the 620 was mounted on a tripod, with 10 seconds timer delay exposure (I found that as long as I move around the picture is blurred since the room has floor boards). Also, the camera has manual focus but it's a bit touch and go since the "zoomed" manual window never showed up very clearly, I had to take several shots on various focuses and pick a winner.

I love this new album, especially 42 and the acoustic version of Lost (they only sell this version on itunes )

can you slow the exposure speed down by a fraction,it sometimes gives me more crisp contrasts between different levels of the watch I am taking shots of.
let me know how it looks if you try it.

Yes, I tried to lengthen the exposure from 13s to 15s (max on this camera) and the contrast didn't come up much better. I suppose I'll need to add some ambient lighting around the setup. More to experiment...

from "The 40-year old virgin"

David: You're gay for saying that.
Cal: I'm gay for saying that?
David: You know how I know you're gay?
Cal: How? How do you know I'm gay?
David: Because you macramed yourself a pair of jean shorts.
Cal: You know how I know *you're* gay? You just told me you're not sleeping with women any more.
David: You know how I know that you're gay?
Cal: How? Cuz you're gay? and you can tell who other gay people are.
David: You know how I know you're gay?
Cal: How?
David: You like Coldplay.
