How did you finance your Rolex?

How do you guys finance your rolex purchases? Does everyone pay cash? Store credit? Part cash part credit? Is trading a big part of financing?

Cash for my most recent pickup....this 16660. Was a Craigslist purchase and for whatever reason the seller wouldn't take Paypal or an out-of-state third party check. LOL.

Usually credit card when buying from ADs though had to pay cash for the LV as it was a ZERO discount piece, I was offered the 3% credit card commission as a discount if I paid cash which wasn't much but still more than the equivalent points/cashback I get from any of my cards.

18 or 21 month no interest Credit Credit (Citi 21 months for BLNR), finished it off faster than I thought so will be aiming for either a pre-owned submariner or wait for new Daytona.

I don't believe in burning capital when money is given for free, that is if you pay it back in the allotted time.

Normally pay with my credit card, and then pay it off when I get my bill. I like the points and purchase protection.

I've used credit cards when buying from authorized dealers. I've used trades and cash (wire and/or Paypal) when buying from "trusted sellers."

+1...like what's the point of chasing down an AD discount if you wind up paying 18-20% in revolving credit?

This, with a twist. I need to have the liquid cash, but I put the purchase itself on a credit card. Partly for the points, partly for purchase protection. And I pay off my credit card every month. If I don't have the free cash to buy something, I don't buy it. Period. (Well, except for real estate.)

Cash
Trading + cash
Trading and receiving cash.

I like option 3 the best but usually only happens once every couple trades :)

Always cash or credit card for the cash back. Never go in debt for these things. :)

If I get a discount for cash, then cash. If not, credit card for the points and then pay it off in full at the end of the month.

A luxury watch isn't something that should create debt.

This is a great way to not have to shell out a ton of cash all at once. And at 0% why not? As long as you have the funds or cash-flow to afford it. I'm against credit cards for these types of purchases but I'll take 0% anyday!

How did you finance your Rolex?

Whatever suits your needs but only You can answer that question. Cash of course is preferred but there are many reasons to use a credit card and I'm sure 90% of the times it is not because you can't afford it.. Happy Easter

If you can't pay cash, or use a credit card that you pay off monthly, don't buy the watch
