Sea Dweller RED 43MM 126600 Yeah or Neah?

Looking for some feedback around the Red Sea Dweller 43MM. What is Retail on this watch? I can't get one for sometime so looking outside the AD box. They seem to be going for $13K+ ? ? ? HELP persuade me to take the plunge. I never owned a Sea Dweller but really like the fact they downsized it to 43MM which seems to be a sweet spot!

amazing watch. They added the new rolex coronet between "SWISS" and "MADE" on the dial, so you might want to make a move quickly if you want the original ("Mark I") dial.

Aside from all that though the watch is really incredible. The balance, size and proportions are fantastic. IMO if you have a 7" plus wrist, it's a homerun. The bracelet is awesome too.

I could take or leave the cyclops, but not a deal breaker.

Takuya has a NIB one. I'd scoop that up in a heartbeat.

It's an upsize, not a downsize.

FWIW, I'm not a fan, but that is due to my wrist size.

Very solid watch, but i sold it a week later.

It was too big, and I have a big wrist (i think). Not a big fan of large watches.

So for the same quality, I went with the 116600.

It's whatever you feel is right on your wrist. You can't make a mistake in buying a Sea Dweller. Good luck.

Here's my 126600 on wrist.

The SD43 is a fantastic diver with fantastic proportions. It has the same proportions as the 5 digit references and wears smaller than the 43mm would suggest.

You can't lose with the SD43.

It's a truly amazing watch, get it and don't look back. Unless you have tiny wrists you will love it. I think David has one for 12,700

I say hell yeah! Best sports watch Rolex has made in some time. If you have the wrist for it.
Move fast if you want the SD50 W/ anniversary MK1 dial. Prices are good now, but likely to skyrocket once people catch on that it is a one year run.

It felt it was quite big. Not the proportions of your average Rolex. And the cyclops did not work for me at all with such a large case.

Plus, the bezel has more surface area, and with the ceramic, it gives more reflection and sparkle. Something i try to avoid.

The 116600 on the other hand, has the bracelet I like, with a 40mm case with shaved lugs.

Here is 116600 on my wrist.

Both look great on you. For your wrist can't go wrong with either. For me the larger size is what drew me to the SD43 and I love the usefulness of the cyclops even though I get that it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Current MSRP is us$ 11,350

Used and new ones sell for around $12,300 - $13,600 in after-market.
A bargain compared to SS Pepsi, SS Daytona, or SS skydweller. Hahaha

They didn’t downsize, unless u r referring to DSSD

Although the 43mm size is not for everyone,
126600 is a homerun by Rolex
(126600 mk1 is a grand slam or a walk-off hr imo. )

Love mine, but I don’t think we need to convince u much.... lol

It’s a stunner, go for it! It’s really a beautiful watch and I literally can’t get enough of it. Bought mine a few months ago and I still can’t stop looking at it. I think it’s the perfect diver, but that’s just me.

I just got one recently.
My daily beater was a 116610LV. The SD is larger but with the wider bracelet and good proportions it is not topheavy and wears very comfortable.

Mine says hi!

Wow!! Thanks guys for all the pics and advice! I think I am SOLD. Looks amazing!! I have a big wrist and wear my Rolex Explorer II 42mm daily so 1mm shouldn't be a big deal for me. I like a bigger watch. I might reach out to David I see he has a few.

Great watch. I had to sell mine, as it was too big for my wrist. But I loved the watch.

If I was willing (I'm not as general rule) to pay a premium on a watch, doing so with Thanh (takuya) is the who I'd go with.

If you have the wrist for it, go for it, it a favorite of mine

The 43 can't be beat imo. Obviously if you are seeking a "smaller watch" you wouldn't even be considering it so I can't imagine you not being thrilled as I am with it. Bottom line is that practically any wrist can pull it off, I have seen girls wearing them. Funny how now really only see younger girls with DJ41s, Daytonas, Subs and even AP42s and 44s yet some guys still complain a 41-43 is too big for them. Man up! :) To each their own of course. I say pull the trigger and never look back, you'll be one happy camper. Bought mine new from a terrific seller for less than a an AD would have been w tax, took one day and never had to leave the house. Good luck with it!

You must be a little confused.
They actually upsized it to 43 from 40.
