14060 or Fifty Eight
I bought a 14060 earlier in the year but love the look of the Fifty eight. Having both feels pretty senseless. What are thoughts, should I trade in for the 58?

14060 or Fifty Eight
While this is a forum for both brands, Rolex dominates by some margin, hense most replies will say Sub.
So my 2 cents worth won't say either as a would be in the same position perhaps as you. The Sub imo is the last of the true Subs. After this model, we have the maxi-case, imo a rather ugly boxy looking case that detracts from the classic beauty of the watch. This alone is enough to keep a 14060/M. The BB58 is a classical diver rather than being a classic. It's movement is superior to the 14060 and in most other areas, I believe it is superior to the 14060. I walked into a store to buy the 14060M and walked out with an Explorer, I also picked up the 58 last month. Physicaly touching and handling gives you more than other people's thoughts can ever hope. I certainly wouldn't decide until handling both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

While the 58 isn’t plentiful at this point, they’re making more of them. The sub, notsomuch. Plus, it’s a great watch!

This is something you have to decide for yourself. No point asking people. Generally their default reply will be Sub. I have a Sub and waiting for the call from my AD for BB58. If asked to choose one, i will not hesitate to go with BB58. I think BB58 is better value for money.

Why not have both? You have two wrists.

I've been wearing my t<25 14060 for a couple of days now. The only time it surprised me was when I checked the time in the middle of the night and thought what a dim glow. I then realized what watch I was wearing and also noted that the glow wasn't the only dim thing. I still love the watch. So much nicer imho than my old 114060 (even with out the fancy clasp). I sure wouldn't trade it for the Tudor 58 under any circumstances.

I wish the 58 had holes. They are different enough, to justify getting both. Both are super cool!

Keep the 14060 for now. Why?
-They aren't making any more, people love them and the value is steadily rising so you won't lose and probably will gain by keeping it. -BB58 is a new model and you will pay a premium (right now) to get it. -If you can wait a year or two, the value of your sub will probably increase, BB58 will probably decrease and some other new shinny watch of the moment may come out that you like more. Infatuation can fade faster than you expect when the next thing come along. Good luck |

I had a 14060m but I sold it because it looked a bit bland next to my 5513. I am planning to pick up a BB 58, though.

MT calibre has everything the 3035 has plus more. It has a full balance bridge. Rolex does not It has COSC Rolex does not It has 70 hour power reserve Rolex does not It has silicon hairsping Rolex does not Yes the 14060 is a classic example of the Submariner, but the 3035 calibre is inferior to the MT5402. You'll need more than "Come on" to counter these facts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Keep the Submariner and give the 58 a little time and it will be on the market pre-owned with a good discount and you could possibly add it. I find the 58 to be too small but it works for some.

If the 14060 is a 4 line then I'd keep it.

I love the 58, in really like what they've done with this reference.

I'm aware. There are 2 liners that are M's also. Some people don't put the M at the end of the reference number.

The 58 with the better movement will be a great watch to own for the future. I would try to own both if it were me.
