Dial and bezel look clean. Personally I like the weight of my PO, so I may not be a fan of the Ti... but I would have to wear it to find out... I like the direction OMEGA is going with their recent watch designs

I know that this versions of this discussion has been touched on many times in this forum, but, at $8600 Canadian for this watch in grade 5 titanium, ceramic liquid metal bezel and 8500 movement -
vs
$8600 cdn for a Rolex sub date "c" with the movement and bracelet upgrades.
Are they equal value? J

There is some good value in Omega, but a Rolex is "Rolex"

I'm looking at getting the PO 8500 Ti vs. the SS PO 8500 in the next few months as my everyday beater. Going to retire the DSSD to a weekend watch.

I really like that they use grade 5 Ti but I'm not sure its worth the extra $$$ over the SS. I had a Ti IWC and LOVED the weight but really like the black dial/bezel of the SS over the blue of the Ti PO.

I would love to hear others opinions on these two watches

The liquid metal really makes the bezel and dial pop way more than a Sub C. A different way to go a in watches so you have to make your decision. The new movements IMO are on top of list in divers. Just look at how beautiful and advanced it is.

I have to say that the titanium really pops more than the steel po and I know the liquid metal is very desirable. The titanium is much closer in look to steel than the Iwc. (I also have the Iwc titanium aqua timer with the inside rotating bezel on rubber. ) j

i tried one on, too, eric. it's technically quite an amazing piece, and i really like the dark blue with the Ti. i can't say, however, that it got the juices going.

A black dial / LM bezel version of the PO Ti 8500 / 9300 must be in the pipeline! Might be worth waiting if blue doesn't float your boat.

I like how they made the blue dial and bezel fit the orange hands, the mix is great!

Thank you for sharing Eric, in all honesty I think I prefer it on a metal bracelet but I'd still love to have that blue band for a from times to times change.

That's very true. Omega's prices have been soaring recently...making some of the pieces hard to justify next to something that historically has held its value better (Rolex Sub C).

But that said, the PO in Ti does look great. The blue dial is certainly something different here. Enjoy it!

I tried on the Ti PO, and I really didn't like it on the wrist - it really was just too light, made it feel cheap. I know it's stronger than steel, I know it's brilliantly engineered, but the Ti just didn't feel nice. Shame, the blue is lovely

At least the Ti has the inhouse movement. The 300m has a very nice look and easy to wear, but do you have the same love for eta?

That Anniversary Bond watch above doesn't look too bad zoomed out. I hate that dial with with "007"s though :-(

I think they'll be keeping the cal. 2500 as a starter movement for the forseeable future
