I picked this up this week and I am so impressed. I have always admired the AT from a far but once I started to do some research on the watch, I knew I had to own one at one time or another.

The quality of this watch is hard to beat, the look, the feel, the comfort all rival watches that have cost me twice as much. Stunning teak grey dial that changes color at different angles, really cool by the way. Amazing movement with a 60 hr power reserve that does not need a service per my Omega boutique for approx. 10 years, which is pretty crazy. The applied markers are just perfect, the mix of polished and brushed areas on the case and bracelet really make the watch pop. Most who know me know I love to swim with my watches, well, I don't like taking off my watch too swim is probably more accurate. With a WR of 500ft, this makes a perfect companion for all those summer activities. Couple all of this with a Omega 4 year warranty and it is hard to pass up.

I must say that this is the first watch that my wife actually said "wow, that is nice". She just loved the dial, as I do, it is flat out stunning at different angles. It will turn from light grey to a darker, almost black at certain angles. It basically gives me one more cool thing to look at when I am staring at my watch.

I actually waited to buy this watch until after I saw the new Rolex DJ II with the smooth bezel. I just saw them this past week and thought they were really nice, but in my heart, I knew I preferred the AT 8500. I really dislike polished center links and I always flip polished cased watches, so I knew the AT 8500 won this battle in my head.

I think the AT is the best watch going in the Omega line. I also like the AT GMT but it's huge and waaay to thick. But, I like it anyway

Congratulations...I have the AT 8500 as well. It is a fantastic watch. I think what sets it apart is the dial. So much detail and I love the 3d effect. You're absolutely correct on the changing of colors depending on the angles. It is my GF's favorite out of my collection, too.

It is amazing how it just captures the light. It is the little things that add so much to a watch, Omega hit a home run with the AT's.

That's an awesome watch! Congrats! IMO it looks better than the DJII. The dial is beautiful, modern and clean. For me the cyclops on the DJs really make it look outdated, it reminds me of bifocals. You made a great decision.

Congratulations. Very nice! I have the midsize Silver version, and couldn't be happier with it. It is simply stunning in all its forms, including the quartz versions. My only wish is that Omega still made a 36mm version, as I'd prefer if mine were slightly smaller. However, I wear it more than any of my other Omegas, since purchasing it from a certain well known Dealer, just a few weeks ago. Mine says Hello:
