At this rate Omega is going to price itself right out of the market. They don't yet have the brand cachet of Rolex imho to justify doing this. Plus releasing increasing 'limited edition' watches each and every year is doing nothing for its image.

Well omega unfortunately is right up there in sales with the best in Asia. With the new 8500 and 9300 movements which has been recieved quite well, i can see them taking this opportunity to go for a higher pricing scheme.

According to my local AD in UK, Omega price increase was planned last week, think she said anything from 2.5-5%. Haven't been in again to check though.

Last I heard from my AD it was due in USA 1 Aug but his letter from Omega didn't give any new prices or any % increases. He also mentioned that Omega (and other mfrs) are cutting the margin, IOW raising dealer cost more % than MSRP. He said Rolex was also doing this.

My local AD told me the (UK) prices went up last Monday.

Relatively small increases though - the example he mentioned was £2800 to £2870 if I recall! Apparently the higher (%) increases were on the (already) more expensive gold watches...
