No moon for 7 weeks...
Sent it off for first-ever service under warranty - needed regulation and new hesalite.
I debated whether to have the bracelet refinished - but decided to go ahead since it was on their nickel. I sent it off to Seattle Service Center - they apparently work 7 days a week! Their online order tracking system is GREAT! Rolex never tells you what's going on. My last update said mid-July, and I've been really bummed. Just now - 30 minutes after COB at my office, the phone rings and I decided to pick it up. It's Seattle calling, saying it is done. I asked if it was going out 2-3 day ground - she says normally yes, but the boss said this one goes out overnight. I can't wait!!!! |

It took a little time to get everything sorted out because of a special order part. Hopefully, I'll have pics later today.

Finally!!! Regulated, new Deci Meter bezel, and a much needed half-link in the bracelet. The moon has risen!
Quite unlike Rolex, Omega seems to clearly understand who owns what. I use the chronometer at least once a week, and the tach bezel only occasionally to check speed against mileposts. However, I'm much more frequently timing production operations in minutes and decimal fractions thereof, so this is exactly what I need. If I still need speed, just divide 60mph by the decimal fraction of a minute. ____________________________ TT OysterQuartz SS/Black "U" Daytona TT GMT II-C DD OysterQuartz Brietling Aero Omega Speedmaster Pro |

couldn't agree more on Omega returning the serviced parts is the right thing to do (the customer did paid for the parts, not renting it)
its a nice touch that you can have Omega change the bezel too. try asking rolex to do the same thing ... LOL btw, how to use that bezel?
