A different kind of Speedmaster

Not really my kind of watch but I couldn't not buy it at $75.00, they are apparently quite rare having only been produced for about a year in the mid 70's, there is a similar version only in a round case which are even rarer

very nice stuff! was keeping an eye on one on the bay only to finally figure out it was a franken watch :( back to the drawing board! obsessing over vintage seamaster lately. Any one see a possibility that a 562 was put in a 2869 case? cant be right can it?

There's no rule Andi. I'd say for me it must be 40 yrs or more at least, no sapphire, discontinued for a long time etc. Look at the models posted here. No doubt they're all true vintage. You get used to recognise at first glance.
