how often are chrono pushers replaced? (wear and tear)
i understand pusher gaskets are changed during a routine service.
and i know RSCs will likely change old pushers with new ones if the watchmaker thinks they may be slightly suspect. but in the real world, if a chrono gets used regularly (say it starts, stops and resets 3 times a day, every day), how quickly will pushers get worn out on the inside? and a side question: thread/tube wear aside, does the crown/stem wear out faster than pushers in normal use? i'm trying to cut down on a parts i hoard and wonder if i should be letting go backup crowns and pushers for my vintage chronographs... |

I have no idea but if they are vintage I wouldn't sell the parts. They are only going to become harder to come by.

I've just changed crown and pushers in my TAG CARRERA CV2110. Is not an old watch and pushers took 5 months to arrive!!
Don't sell your vintage parts! Will be a treasure in the near future! IMO. |
