Thinking about buying Patek Philippe.

What direction should I take the company?

This thread would be more interesting if Khalid started it

I would embrace the market for sports watches. Increase production on them to just below demand instead of wayyyy below demand.

I would significantly cut down on SKUs. Too many.

I would make the cases a bit more interesting on the next gen manual chronos.

I would focus more on producing movements that fit cases and make sure a new watch is designed with the dial layout in mind first like the competition (ALS FPJ).

Shut down the factory, stop production and let the real purge begin

I think they need a hybrid Code range aimed at 19 year olds.

I think I will increase sportwatch production, but still well under demand. The calatrava line will be revamped, showcasing a new movement that better fits the cases.

Make some new movements where they actually fit properly in the larger cases.

Start a new watch line called Code 12:01. Surely that will calm down the Nautilus demand and grey market prices

What the hell let’s throw in some hacking movements and clasps that aren’t department store quality.

Actually there is quite a lot to fix once you think about it.

$18k Nautilus is bordering on too much. this current bubble will eventually pop.

Some good ideas!
Especially agree with dial layout and movements fitting the case.

the 5940 I am wearing at the minute is a testament to what balance should look like between the dial, case and movement imho.
That said the 5940 is a 37mm watch, considered small by modern trends in the watch market.

It makes me wonder about Patek. On the one hand, they have increases production dramatically, yet there is even greater demand. On the other hand, tax burdens are extremely high, and the way lines like the calatrava have been neglected seem to show internal strain and problems.

240 is the right size for that case however would be even better if the plates were the same shape instead of round. Get on it buyer!
