Congrats!

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m taken by how beautiful the finish is on this watch every time I put it on. When I bought it I thought I’d mainly wear it as a casual watch, but I quickly realized the finish is so nice that it easily works well beyond that plan.

Here is a pic of mine on a Micah ammo strap.

Was with a friend who brought his 682 this afternoon. Personally find it too small. Well, wear it in good health...

RE: Loose Bezel on 682

I have a 682 in my hands from Crown and Caliber right now. I really want to love this watch because it's oozing style, but the bezel play is weird. It moves laterally in all directions. I can't imagine any functional reason for this "feature" ...

[The rotor is also quite loud, and when there is no preload on the spring (when it is not wound) it has a noticeable click, like it is moving axially (parallel to axis, perpendicular to rotational plane). That said, it has about as much movement as my Omega 9300 coaxial, and both use ceramic bearings, which are probably not lubricated.]

Wondering if this is a quality control issue, or just the norm for Panerai. I will probably need to go play with some new models at the AD.

RE: Loose Bezel on 682

I just spoke with the Panerai customer service concierge. She said this was not normal, and should / could be fixed with a "bezel kit" — some parts that go on the inside and control the movement. Since it's almost impossible to be sure we are talking about the same thing, I have no idea if this problem could actually be fixed with this bezel kit. No idea about pricing, will update if I learn something more.

Congratulations..it's a beauty! I have the 973, which is the 2019 replacement model for the 682. It is 42mm, but about 1mm thinner. I have a 7.75" wrist, but my size is on the sides and not across the top. Given that, the 42mm wears great for me! Regarding the loose bezel, my watch had the lateral play....very annoying to say the least!! I just got it back from the Ft. Worth Service Center and it is now perfect. No play whatsoever!! They installed the "bezel kit". My watch was under warranty, so there was no charge.
