I’m really interested in their new Top Gun Mojave Desert, IW389103. Limited to 500 pieces though. Anyone know how IWC limited watches work as far as secondary market?

Love the spitfire collection. I want to see if (hopefully) the chronograph has thinned down. Would love to see it in the low 12mm thickness

I do like the pilot range and I like the fact that the spitfire collection are using in-house movements. The ceramic with black dial looks the business.

I agree that the Richemont group seems to be releasing a deluge of products for all their brands. Similar product strategy as the Swatch group it would seem.

Edit: yes it is a new model. I must say I think these new spitfire models are great. Especially like the vintage styled smaller 39mm version. Massive power reserve and a nice size make these a great everyday option.

Looks like it’s 15.3mm thick, according to IWC’s site.

But I want it anyway. Looks fantastic, especially the 41mm diameter.

I’m guessing this particular piece may only going to be available through an IWC boutique which means no discount. I’d expect to lose 30% if you decide to resell it.

Don't forget some of the original IWC pilots watch were 50mm+ made for the War. A small pilot watch is designed as a piece for the masses, large pilot watch is a watch made for a pilot.

I get and love the big pilot... it is somewhat justified in the era of big watches by historically large watches worn by pilots in ww2.

Nonetheless for the Mark series which... I firmly agree with you. My Mark xvi at 39mm is my most solid piece looking equally good with a suit or a pair of jeans

Historically pilots watches were much larger than 40mm. They downsized to fits current standards.
