That doesn't come as a surprise. i was pretty sure it would be out of my league in any case. A nice astetic in any case and great for those who can afford the indulgence - it sort of 'out-Hulks' the Hulk.

Am I the only one, or prices are starting to get crazy? 20.000 Euros for carbon? we are getting into precious metal and complication territory! And the LE 40.000 Euros ?
OK I see, it's limited to 33 pieces. Let me tell you what happened.

On the 10th of January 2019, 13:52, at Panerai headquarter in Firenze, the new boss, frenchman Jean-Marc Pontroué calls for an emergency board meeting. As soon as everybody is seated, he stands up and says: "while eating my croissant this mornig, I had a great idea to make even more money with that big diver we're launching, you know, the one in some sort of plastic... I'll call the peinture department, you know, that place where they put colors on watches, I'll tell them to take 33 watches from that new batch, change the color of the thingees from white to green and put a green ceinture on them. Then we call it limited edition of just 33 pieces, and we sell each one at double the price. That equate to an extra 660.000 Euros, with zero effort... Voilà!... And that's why I am the grand boss!!!! The new head of marketing ask him: can we justify that extra 20.000 just by the fact that it's green and limited to 33 pieces? - Of course we can, Matteo will call his cousin, the military swimmers' chief, and he'll ask him to have his men swim with 33 petits cons, you know, suckers, for a day, and in exchange, we will give him a shiny new Panerai... but not too shiny, and not too expensive, of course.. a base would be fine... take note Matteo.. and we will call it military diving with the best swimmers of the italian naval forces... or something like that... you're the head of marketing François, you find something nice... and reVoilà! Now get all back to work, I have to find a place to eat escargots.

The indexes are actually grey giving it a really great stealth look.

Hmmmm....not sure yet if I like the 985's combination of Yacht-Master bezel with Lab ID dial. The two don't seem to go together?

Anyway, I'm sure the Mike Horn experience will be a memorable one.

The 983 looks pretty bad-@ss.

I like the PAM00683 - 42mm with a black bezel. With a bit of luck should have more down to earth pricing.

So, where is the Bronzo? Jean-Marc Pontroué said it very clearly in his interview in Beverly Hills. And all these watches in 47.. why not some 44 ? And not a single 1950 or 40.. what's going on ? everybody is diving now ?
