Quarantined: Are you wearing your Rolex?

To some degree we are all quarantined whether it is self imposed or mandated. We are working from home and assuming the role of helping our children as we transition to online learning at all grade levels, only leaving our homes when absolutely necessary.

My question is with all the Corona chaos that has changed life as we knew it, do you bother wearing your Rolex around the house? I haven’t worn my watch knowing I am confined to my house and don’t anticipate wearing any other than fleece bottoms and a comfortable pullover.

Of course. Looking down at the BLRO is a brief moment of light in all of this darkness. Sounds deep af but reminds me of the hardships I went through to be able to afford it.

Of course. Why wouldn't you want to wear it at home?

I agree exactly with this. I worked my rear end off to be able to be in a financially situation to be able to afford it. EVERY TIME I wear my watch, I smile and know that I earned that watch. I think I have succumbed to laziness perhaps.

Although reflecting on much more important things first...this is a perfect time to appreciate, and maybe reconfigure, a collection. I've stared at my BLRO for hours today.

I think in my mind that it is silly. But, my 114060 is two years old today and every time I strap it on, it is an indescribable feeling of pride and pleasure. The honeymoon is definitely not over.

I only wear watches and jewelry outside the house. Know they can withhold anything but I've always been this way.

I am of similar behavior. I even take my wedding ring off when I get home and back on when I leave the house.

I agree with the overall sentiments expressed here. Worked my tail off to be able to have them. I rock them when I can. That may mean in my jammies....so be it!

Absolutely yes. It keeps a sense of normalcy for me. Working from home, I see the bright side as being able to change watches every few hours. I had 3 different pieces on through the day and it brought a smile to my face while work was facing a crisis.

I’ve been working at home since the end of January. Not virus associated, change of company culture, new boss, etc. Anyway, I’ve been wearing PJ’s pretty much all day, everyday since then. But I don’t wear my watches while at home, I’ve tried and just don’t dig it.

So do you only wear a watch when you go out for an extended time, or will you bother to put one on for a run to the gas station for milk?

Happy quarantining in 84 degrees and with almost clear skies.

Not even close. Just looking for thoughts and opinions; not trying to preserve the watch.

Yes. In case I need to use it to barter for toilet paper. In fact, I’m wearing my watches Maradona-style.

All joking aside, it does bring me a sense of calm and normalcy.
