Condensation, or something else?
Looking for some opinions on whether these tiny specs underneath the crystal of my 14060 is condensation, or something else. The watch is new to me and I went swimming with it recently. I looked at it under a loupe once I got home just to make sure all was OK after the first water activity. It was then that I noticed these tiny specs on one small area of the crystal. Unfortunately I did not inspect the watch with a loupe prior to swimming so I can’t say if they were already present before I went for a swim. Looking back at the original pics of the watch it does seem that there is some restoration in the same area so I have reason to believe it was present prior to my swim.
The pics are going to be a little difficult to see. Only visible under a loupe, can’t see anything with the naked eye. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks more like a crystal defect to me. Perhaps an aftermarket one.

Have to agree things like loupes and the rest of today's Rolex toys can and often will be a Rolex owners worst enemy.

If it is condensation it will cuase long term issues even if it does disappear. I would bring it to a jeweler and they can check it and see if it is lost it's seal.

Wouldn’t condensation be concentrated around the center, as it would come up from the hole in the center of the dial?

It's not anywhere near as uniform in distribution or of type and as mentioned it probably should be concentrated toward the centre of the crystal. Is it all on the inside? Some of it looks sort of external and other bits look internal? Is the fine white speckling we can see just dust showing up in the pic? I'm kind of thinking that it's residual spattering of some kind and just not cleaned off properly prior to assembly |

It is all on the inside. The fine white speckling outside of the main area of imperfection is dust I believe. Just took another peek and it looks exactly the same. At this point I think I am ruling out condensation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

One thing you can also do to check for condensation is to put an icecube on the crystal briefly. This drops the temp of the crystal to the dew point where any moisture present can condense on the inside of the crystal. A certain amount of condensation is allowable after taking the icecube away, but if it lingers for a while without dissipating again you may consider having a simple pressure check done with a reputable watchmaker Please let us know how you get on with it? |

The new to you watch might not have been pressure tested. I would get that sorted since moisture within the the case will do nothing good for the movement.

Absolutely nothing to lose by getting it looked at. Yes it's not the usual way that condensation appears, but since moisture is just about the worst thing possible for a movement, why take the chance?

I would get it checked out and while they are at it they can pressure test it. Let us know what you find out.

Looks to be more of a foreign debris or some type of corrosion. Does not appear to be condensation. From the photo anyway.

Is it just me, the lighting, or the flash but in picture number 1 look where the dial meets the case around the 11 and 12 hour marker.
Looks like I see a good bit discoloration I'd be off to my nearest A D/RSC or maybe call the person I got it from........... Actually its in every pic in some areas
