Recent GMT BLRO & BLNR Owners, AR Coating?

Has anybody recently picked up a BLRO or BLNR from their AD (say, in the last two months) and noticed if AR was added under the crystal? The new VTNR has it, and I would assume Rolex would simply follow suit with the other color models, but I’m sure it would be an unannounced rolling out. Feedback anyone?

Underside has it. I do however wish the top of the crystal had stronger AR coating.

I would love to know if my watches have AR, but as many times as I have tried I am not able to capture the crown image to tell.

I will say, just looking at my 2018 116500, I think that it has AR.

I can’t tell with my 2022 BLNR or with my 2019 YM1.

Comparing my '21 BLRO to my '22 VTNR, I can safely say that my BLRO does not have the new coating. They were purchased about a year apart from each other.

I have a Sub 41 and a 2022 BLNR and it's obvious that the BLNR does not have it.

This would be good to know because AR coating on the underside of the crystal adds so much to the ownership experience IMO. Soooo much better to have a clearer face.

I am glad they do not coat the top of the crystal. I have seen watches with scratches on the AR coating, and they sure do look bad!

I can’t seem to get a good picture of my 116500, but I believe this shows that it has AR coating.

Recent GMT BLRO & BLNR Owners, AR Coating?

Here’s my BLRO. I got it in March of 2022. There was another thread about this around the time I got mine. I’m assuming this was included on all gmt models march of 22 (around the time the black and green was released.

This IMO is great news for future GMT owners
The presence of AR on the underside changes the look of Rolex watches for the better. Way better. Who doesn’t want a clearer face?

Does Rolex advertise AR on the GMT? It makes me wonder if they phase it in before officially announcing it, so they can use up the non-AR crystals on hand, first.

My 2018 BLNR doesn't have it - my 2022 VTNR does.

Maybe it's just me, but the crystals look exactly the same, I can't tell any visual difference at all. To me light reflects off both the same.

My 2020 BLRO does not. I wanted to call RSC and ask if I could get it swapped. I'm growing sick of the glare under the glass on this dial and the scattering of a dozen copies of a dozen lume plots. I'm beginning to think ~$20K would be nicer to look at.

Does anyone have a pix of the laser applied crown with the horizontal line in the centre circle?

Seriously? It's that much of a problem?

I literally cannot tell the difference at all

If you get a service crtystal on a Pepsi from 2019, will it have AR?

If they use a current service crystal, I believe the part number with AR coating is:

B25-7035-3-C1 (Which I think replace the cyclops only coating number B295-CAR-C1)

I’ve thought of getting them replaced in my 5-digit GMT & Sub as well if they fit.

My 2019 SD43 is currently at my AD getting the crystal swapped out for an AR coated replacement. They have a watchmaker and all of the testing equipment for the 5000 ft water resistance. I didn’t have to ship it to RSC.

Call the Dallas RSC and ask if your current reference has an AR coated service crystal.
