Hard choice. A Polar Exp II was my first Rolex, more recently I've owned the black dial and loved that one too! Both are awesome so pick what you enjoy. The 42mm is too big IMO and I have no interest in ever owning one

I'm a big fan of the white dial, personal I'd prefer the white dial.

No serial number on bracelet

I recently bought a 16570 and love it. It's a "D" series and from my understanding it has solid end links? I saw pictures in other threads and it looks like most of the bracelets have serial numbers on the end link, but my doesn't. Should I be worried?

I have a 2008 white dial. The 3186 movement is solid. I believe the watch was serviced before my purchase, but it’s been two years and it’s one of my best running watches. Still running within 1 second per day after two years. Very accurate and stable, never seen any wild fluctuations.

Somehow 16570 doesn’t get a lot of love in the second hand market. Prices are really good compared to the GMTs, even though they are essentially the same watch except for the bezel. I’m considering getting a black dial as well.

I like my black face one, under the radar and even more so since I put an Everest strap on. I wouldn’t hesitate to travel anywhere with it, in fact recently got back from Mexico with it

Perfect piece. Amazing for travel and adventure. I have the polar, prefer it over the black. I would go grey and not CPO if you’re taking price into account.

I am a huge fan and I love the black dial, I find it easier to read regardless of the light conditions.

Definitely, when you’re on the far side of 60 that matters

How are these 16570's?

Both dials are great!

I own a black rehaut which is sold in 2014(!) At that time I’ve bought it BNIB grey channel.
At the moment at RSC for full service with my specific order: no-polishing.
The watch is also never polished before
lugs look still like unworn.
So, no need for that due excellent condition, furthermore after a few weeks of wear the swirls are back;)

The watch is ready tomorrow and then I will pick it up.
Foto below just before a bought it to RSC->

16570 is a great watch, you'll have no regrets with the polar or black dial. Wears great, size is great, and is a more "undercover" rolex.

16570's are the best bang for your buck! same movement as the 16710's, but at least 30% less

I would prefer watchfinder over CPO. They have lower prices (especially on sale) and give you the same peace of mind along with the same 2 year warranty. And they have a very good customer service (in my experience).

Cost of the service on a 16570? I'm guessing around £800 plus any extras that might need replacing.

Two year Rolex warranty, immediate knowledge that the watch isn't registered as stolen with Rolex. And has no after market parts.

I agree with you. The price is worth it, for the peace of mind you get, from the CPO program. Black dial is more versatile, if it will be your daily.

Anyone think negotiation on Rolex CPO pieces is possible? For one reason, Tourneau has a bunch of 16570s for $10k, but a dealer up in Philly has a couple for $9k. I'd rather not pay that much, but you're right that it could be worth it for guaranteed authenticity and starting with a used watch in the best shape possible. I'm looking for a slightly rare black dial with case holes and solid endlinks, but CPO has quite a few of them.

For anyone wanting to buy this watch, black or white dial, be patient and watch for FS ads on the forum. If overpriced it will just sit. These are not big movers. Sellers should negotiate. Check for any service history and definitely make sure the watch is fully linked. For some reason these watches in resale seem to be missing a link or two.
