Short thought on Mont Blanc's

I have several fountain pens that write better than my Mont Blanc 146 or any MB that I have tried. However, none of my other pens feel in my hand as comfortable and special as my MB LeGrand.

The construction, feel, weight and balance blends perfectly while the nib writes smooth and gives appropriate feedback from paper.

I actually sent my MB to a nibmeister along with my fine Waterman to get the MB to write like the Waterman. She did a fantastic job but it still doesn't lay my favorite line. The waterman doesn't give the same feedback or comfort the MB does but it does have great line.

However, the MB is my go to daily pen used vast majority of time due to comfort and feel.

My two cents worth of blabbing........

That's just some of the fun with owning and using Fountain pens...we all have preferences as to likes and dislikes. I really like nibs made from gold and are flexible so your lines are always different. Then at times I will use FPs with gold XF nibs or smaller and change up my ink color. There is no one way to enjoy them but for me I do prefer Fountain pens over Rollerball or Ballpoint pens.......once you use a FP there is no going back!!!

I'm just glad for people when they discover and find out how well Fountain Pens work and how versatile they are. It sure makes writing a pleasure and I have rediscovered cursive writing while using them.....

Take it easy.....Leo
