Smalltalk: "How's the Weather?"

I love this time of the year! This week in unbelievable here (suburbs of Houston, Texas).

Maybe I will work from the back patio today. Think the chirping birds will give me away on conference calls?

I prefer a high of 68-70, but this is close. How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

It's a hellish November day here in Los Angeles. The current temperature is 75 degrees with a high of 80 expected later today. It's been a really brutal fall season so far. On Saturday after laying out at Manhattan Beach all day, I was forced to put a sweater on around 5:30 PM because the fall weather dropped it to a shivery 70 degrees. Then on Sunday after we spent the day bbqing and laying out on my rooftop, I was forced to light up the firepit once the sun went down because it dropped to an unbearable 67 degrees. Its not easy dealing with the wrath of mother nature out here.

It sure is. Now I understand what people who live in Minnesota or Wisconsin go through on a typical November day.

We're really buried in it here. As you can see from my patio, that LAPD weather helicopter is desperately trying to traverse the snow flurries and Charlie the great dane is doing everything he can to stay warm.

It managed to hit 5*C here today. I spent Sunday servicing both snowblowers because this isn't too far around the corner
