even cooler would have been some tech integration for a live visualizer...that would have been a cool first experiment. Maybe in 10 years...
im surprised the color levels on the dial are also lumed!

I don't think so... it's just lighting in the video...

The black ceramic one will be, almost certainly, based on initial reactions and also the limited number. The 43mm titanium version, that’s a bit harder to tell imho.

My boutique says they will get 2 of the 37m, so I assume the other versions will be hard to source as well.

These are just so awesome.

Yeah it’s another Royal oak. Yeah it’s another limited edition…. Whatever! These scream fun.

I’m not that into music. But I want one!

Good luck to everyone in the allocation game.

Here's why I like these.

1. I like the fun aspect that ROOs are supposed to embrace.
2. I quite like 'loud', but not too loud, these fit that bracket for me.
3. I very much like the new case shape of the 43mm ROO and given that these don't have a Chrono and thus pushers they are undoubtedly going to appear a little smaller than the existing 43mm models.
4. These are the first time only ROO models (or at least as far as I can remember) - they are 'almost' more RO than ROO and I think the size is where the true delimitation between the two ranges is drawn.
5. No date - that works just fine for me as I can't read the date on my watches anyway :)
6. I've wanted a ceramic ROO for a long time. I nearly bought the POG version a couple of years ago but passed at the time, I don't regret it, but ever since I've told AP I'd very much like one in the future.
7. Whilst I'm not at all musical I do have a couple of VERY accomplished friends in the music industry who I'd really like to tease....

Else, these are 'just' another AP release, there'll be plenty more down the line, the next one always being shinier and newer. But when your wife says 'why don't you get one' you don't ask questions...

Maybe someone else has mentioned this....sorry, but I just noticed the straps that come with the 43mm!

Turquois blue, yellow and green

I have been really hoping we would see a new ghost in the 43mm and they would release more fun strap colors. Hopefully these are not only special edition strap colors. Now we need red and orange.

I was offered the 37mm music edition and in the end decided to pass on it. I love the idea of the strap colors, the fader crown guards are cool, and the size is perfect for my small wrist. Yet, it's a big bulky at 12mm thickness and I appreciate how svelte the rest of my ROs are. And it was just a tad too out there for me. Does seem like most folks who got the call on these have also passed? Will be fun to see wrist shots soon.

wanted to share some shots and videos of the 37mm piece. I was fortunate enough to join a really good friend yesterday who picked the piece up for his collection

- for smaller wrists (I'm 14cm/5.5") this case size is perfect
- I'm excited that there is finally a smaller ROO case size and hope later this year into next year we'll see some standard pieces flow into the catalog
- Also loved that they made a new caliber for this watch/size itself, which I believe they'll re-use in subsequent references
- you have to see this watch in person to truly appreciate it. It looks different in every type of light (I tried to include some shots) and is just a beautiful piece. Music or not, I think once you see it in person, it might change your mind
- there is a depth to the dial/tetris pieces which is hard to see in pictures but it is pretty neat
- the equalizer kinda looks like a cityscape
- the watch is very lightweight (as expected)
- the straps are fun and change easily. The most wearable is the navy ish one. They all have an interesting pattern on them. Curious if they will add more straps for folks to buy (more neutral colors)
- the lume is just normal...unlike the wizardry in the AP video
- this is experimental/funky. Can't wait for next year which is the 50th anniversary for Hip Hop --- we'll see some nice limited editions :-)
- sick box!
- the black ceramic and gem set version with aventurine must look bonkers in person
- A big thanks to Chris from AP Boston for holding it down as always...the entire team, including Will, Nicole, and Steve, is awesome

I don't get the hate for these online...really fun piece. I got to see the 43 ceramic one (wasn't allowed to take photos) and while not my style I still had a smile on my face the entire time. Thanks for sharing OP!

How is this a offshore. It looks like a ROO and RO had some sexy time. But in a weird way ... Nah

I think it's something about:

1) rubber strap

2) 100m water resistance

I asked for the black ceramic or the titanium to my SA the day these got announced. 2 weeks later, I got the call. not for this watch, but for a RO :)

I'm not complaining.

still hoping I get the call for the black ceramic music edition as I think it's one of the best offshores I've seen in years
