5524G no love

I came across a 5524G from a grey dealer and was pretty surprised that the asking price is about 22% below MSRP.
I know the 5524G is not exactly a popular model and a lot haters when it was launched in 2015, but 22% below MSRP?
This is a new in box dated 2021 with box and papers.

Personally I like this watch as it is pretty low profile and not a lot of people will know its a PP. I am thinking of getting this watch but am I missing something here?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

5524G new in box dated 2021 with box and papers for 22% below MSRP seems like a great price to buy. If you like this timepiece, better get it now.

Definitely doesn't get a lot of love but it's one of my favorite Pateks. I would say if you like it then it seems like a pretty good deal.

As others have mentioned, buy the Seller as much as the watch.

On the pricing aspect, it's fair given the market. Patek besides the Nautilus (including the Aquanaut) could almost always be had at below MSRP/at discount, etc. 5-6 years ago. It's probably sitting higher than it would be in prior years.

I like the watch, but in small collection there would be a few options I would pick over it and thus it would never make my list unfortunately.

This was my first PP and I love it. Go for it, and play with the straps.

For several years after the 5525G was released, it sold for above MSRP on the secondary market. When there is a shortage, people want the watch. Now it has become plentiful, it is less in demand. My advice it to get the watch that you like and not what everyone else wants.

It's a great piece, I have it and love it! You can wear it with a suit or jeans, IMO.

I prefer this over any Nautilus or Aquanaut all day, everyday.

In a watch world full of Gerald Genta's and Gerald Genta wannabes, this is refreshingly bold, especially for Patek.

If you are getting offers at 22% below MSRP.....hell....I need to find my nearest Patek dealer.

I love this watch line from patek. The 5524 is too large for me but I’m happily enjoying the 7234g which was at about 24% discount.

24% from the AD/Boutique? I got contacted for this specific piece but they told me they don’t discount on anything..

Love the watch, size and proportions are great on a smaller wrist! Don’t think I’d personally shell out the $50K MSRP for it tho.

Thanks everyone for the feedbacks.
Just an update, the grey dealer had some attitude and I decided not to deal with him.
Found another dealer with a slightly older BNIB, dated late 2020. After a bit of negotiation, I managed to get it 25% off the current MSRP.
Just collected today and extremely happy with it.

Count me as a fan! The 5524G is my first (and only) Patek. Also acquired at a similar discount.

Nah grey market, a person brought it as a profile builder and basically immediately parted ways with it…

Am I the only one who thinks this an amazing price collapse for a relatively new PP?

The flipper tossed the pancake and it hit the floor!

Nah this is the ugly duckling of the patek line. Which works great for me. Overall though this watch will be the first to sit in a display case.

I prefer the 5164a Aquanaut to this Pilot Calatrava model, the latter being big on my small wrist.
