Thoughts on the 5320G

I’m seriously considering getting into this piece. I really want a Patek perpetual calendar but to get a higher level then the 5320 I’d have to sell 2/3 of my collection to even think about it and even then they are difficult to acquire right now. I like the way this piece looks. I like that it’s an automatic and not a manual so I can keep it on a winder and not have to set it every two weeks. Anyone own this piece? What are your thoughts?

I would not really consider buying that piece for the price range due to it being quite stagnant in the market today. However if you really like it it’s likely only to increase in price over time as pateks become more expensive

It's one of my favorite pateks currently and I've been on the fence about grabbing one myself. Quite costly but of course that's a relative metric that's hard to quantify these days. It sticks out as a truly special piece to me, and I love the historical link to the original 1591.

Exactly. And they are discontinuing it so now is our only chance.

I love the look of that PP! Really like the vintage vibe. For me it would depend on what I’d have to sell and what’s left.

I really love it. I’ve owned a bunch of PP and it’s one that’s stuck around. It’s incredibly wearable - the size is great and it’s a strap monster.

A very favorite watch. Beautiful, great dial and accurate. I use a Patek blue calf strap rather than the more formal one furnished.

Also, the winder box that comes with it is beautiful and works perfectly.

I have a significant range of PP including this watch. One of my favorites. I know people say it's not a "hot" watch but if you like it, that's what matters. I like having a diverse collection and the cream dial makes it unique.

I love this piece and it is one of the "cheapest" PC from Patek.

One note though, this is now discontinued and cannot be ordered from Patek anymore. But there may be some NOS around.

I love it.

Like you mentioned - Auto Perpetual

The dial color is very cool IRL.

Different strap colors will bring different highlights out of the dial.

I'll try to get some new shots this week.

OP - the 5327 is 100% worth a look.

The blue dial is beautiful in person and the layout of the dial works well too

The dial layout of the 5320 along the lines of 3448 and 3450 is pretty but that is already the best about it for me. Other design elements (lugs, hands, dial color) make it look overly retro IMO. I am hoping for a new iteration with dauphine hands, baton markers, ideally a black dial, and possibly a simpler case. Currently, I'd rather get a 240 powered automatic PC such as 3940 which is timeless classic and cheaper too.

I love the blue dial and I love where the brand name is on the dial however I’m not crazy about the design of the numbers and also it’s difficult for me to read that watch.

Agree. The legibility of the 5320G cannot be beat. Also agree with Don Lee that the cream dial really takes to different color straps!

My thoughts? Well I’m not selling mine - ever - if that gives you a clue.

A Patek Philippe Grand Complication side-by-side with a pair of Crocs is something one doesn't see everyday!

Hey all, absolutely mesmerized by the 5320. Though I have never seen one in the flesh……I’ve held off because of concerns for legibility.

How easily readable is it?

With the new salmon 5320 released this last week I’m considering it over the cream (though I’m sure tough to obtain with my AD).

Thoughts on the differences between the cream and salmon?

Dave
