Patek 5740 & the future

This watch was released in 2018 and doesn't have any variation. It is the first Nautilus with the perpetual calendar.

Could the white gold be discontinued for precious metal/color variations?

The 5270P was released the same year and was discontinued this march...

Been thinking a lot of purchasing one lately...

I wonder what will be the next Patek moves

Feel free to discuss upcoming releases you think should be done and what you'd like to see in the future as well.

br,

I think it's outstanding in wg. Maybe it could get better in platinum, but comfort could be sacrificed.

Agreed, it has the perfect weighting now in WG.

I’ve been told a three year wait for mine (as of early this year), so keeping my fingers crossed the AD comes through before any discontinuation.

I’m thinking rose gold at some point, it’s the best Nautilus by far

WG is perfect in my eyes....but I think RG would be stunning. If they did a Platinum I wonder what blue they would use since they already used the electric blue here for the G.

Let’s hope not. I am two years into the three years wait and should be getting the 5740G either end of this year or sometime next year.

Unless it turns platinum with diamond hour markers. If it turns into rose gold, my three year would be in vain.

My guess would be rose gold, decided to pick one up this year just in case as I prefer it in white gold. An amazing piece.

Considering recent history rose gold makes the most sense. A surprise yellow would be amazing though

There is a variation but not too sure how many there are in production.

As for future edition, I reckon will be RG. I have applied warm filter to get a reddish hue, just to see the effect. If this does come through, it will be harder to get than the 5990/1R in my view.

Looking good!

The WG and Tiffany blue of the old Arnault above not so much - steel works much better than WG with Tiffany blue.

I think when they DC the white gold and switch to rose gold, it'll get people crazy going for the last white gold pieces, AND it'll get people making calls to their ADs.

love the watch, but it's probably out of my comfort in terms of price.

I just applied a simple filter and it is a 2s mock up. I would love to own a 5740 in RG too.

The G will be a permanent fixture in my collection. I will hope to get a 2nd 5740 from my AD.

Ah, you are unlike mortals like me. If I ask for a second one, my AD will just laugh at me.

I feel that these types of craftmanship shouldn't be combined with steel

Could you go deeper and try to do a chocolate dial? Or green?
