Good morning buddy... today is leg day at the gym
Exactly - I am yet to see anybody strap on their glorious Patek Chrono Platinum to time their morning jog - I've got a $40 Timex Ironman that serves that purpose infinitely better :-).

And don't get me started on the lumen b.s. That useless crap fades and is rendered useless within 15 minutes of being in a dark room. Again, Timex Indiglo does the job far better than any high-end sport watch with "lumen".

Let's tell it the way it is: none of our expensive watches are purchased for their "usefulness" or "utility". In fact, they're not even particularly accurate on keeping time.

We buy them because we like, enjoy, and value them - which are plenty good reasons all by themselves.

The lumen fades in 15 mins? So it’s a pseudo skeleton? I still think it’s cool but I really like the rose gold dial dato... maybe when I have a banner year.

Yeah, it's a fallacy, fades in 15 minutes, maybe 30 for the quality stuff. Go to a movie theater sometime and check the time half way through, let me know how that "lumen" works out for you. :-). The good news is your phone can pinch hit in that moment. :-)

Doesn't matter of course - whether lumen works or not is irrelevant. There's really no rational, utilitarian or logical way to justify the $ we all plow into this watch insanity (I'm just as guilty as anyone else here).

Other than this: we like it, we value it, and it causes no harm.

It's all good.

Hmmmm... just réalisés I don’t own a single blue dial.

Am I ill, chronically unhip, or just ahead of the curve?

The stainless steel bracelet sport watches hype causes blue color dial to be popular
Stainless steel looks best with dark navy blue color.

As now the trend seems to shifted towards gold color bracelet ; the dial color do change too, green or brown will surface replacing blue dominance

What does this even mean? Did you buy that Tissot and "join the bandwagon?" Or do you feel Tissot shouldn't offer a blue dial? Curious.

As for Blue in general. I like it, but I don't own anything in blue yet. I do wonder if it would lose appeal after a while. I tend to like understated, black/white/silver dials best. A friend once said to me, a blue dial is the mistress, the black dial is for the long haul.

That being said, when I saw the VC Overseas in blue, I couldn't stop looking at it. Sexy mistress.
