How many people bought Rolex first and THEN Tudor?

My 200th post, just looking to discuss. So who here already owned rolex and then jumped into a tudor? Whats your ratio of wrist time for both?

I purchased a rolex but haven't purchased a tudor yet. That said, I do love the black bay bronze, and it's on a pretty short list. I have to find it in person and make sure the 43mm case isn't simply too large for my wrist.

I had a 14060 first. Wore it daily until I got my Tudor Pelagos. It was such a better built and more substantial piece and that became my daily.

Until I got my SD4K. Hands down the best watch I've ever owned. Hasn't left my wrist.

Bought Tudors after Rolexes. I'm streaky with all of my watches. The Tudors always get a long rotation. Just as much as Rolex, and a bit more than the "nice" pieces.

For some reason I like leaving a watch in the box for a while then fall back in love with it for a few weeks straight. Daily rotations just never worked for me.

Rolex first, but when I got started Tudor wasn't available in the USA so I never paid any attention to them. When my AD got them so did I.

Bought a Tudor Heritage Black Bay 1st and wore 95% of the time between a few other lesser brands. Finally acquired my Sub and Tudor was gone a few days after because I cant see putting on that beast of a watch with this sitting in box.

Started with a Rolex yacht master, then the Batman gmt before falling in love with the Tudor North Flag. It’s a standout watch and because of my experience I’d never hesitate to buy any Tudor that captures my imagination.

This is the one i have my eye on! I love the idea of the bronze case getting patina as it goes on adventure with me. I feel like id keep it always to remember those times.

Owned a couple Rolex, DJ & GMT II, sold the DJ and proceeded to buy a number of vintage Tudors. I enjoyed the brands willingness to offer more interesting references [chronographs w/ dates, ss Jumbo DD's, ss blue Subs] than Rolex.

In 2010 the introduction of the Tudor Heritage Chronograph brought the brand back in a big way [bought the grey dial version in 2011] and that momentum was confirmed w/ the Black Bay releases. My favorite is the BB GMT and although I'll change watches to suit the situation, it's been my go-to since it was purchased. I'd love to add a blue Pelagos.

For me, the Tudor brand represents a great tool watch value. I love my 16710 and enjoy wearing it on special occasions. But more often than not, I'm wearing a Tudor.

I bought Rolex first, then Tudor, then both. Now my Rolex and Tudor collection is about 50/50, a few of each.

Owned multiple Rolex before purchasing my first Tudor. Also, had to drive to Canada at the time since Tudor was not sold in the States then. I generally wear my Tudor and Rolex the same amount of time.

Bought 4 Rolexes first over a 30 year window before buying my first Tudor last April. I still have and wear all the Rolexes, and my blue Pelagos is a real workhorse and probably gets the most wrist time. I credit TRF with getting me interested in Tudors - now I'm interested in Tiger Prince Date Chronos and Heritage Chronos.

Rolex
Tudor
Tudor
Rolex
Tudor

That’s how my acquisition order went. Adding one final Rolex soon. Looking to diverge to other brands after.

I rotate and wear each watch for a week.

Start with Rolex Gmt black ceramic in 2015 then caught attention of Tudor BB Blue while window shopping in 2016 and it became my 2nd watch.
Now I hv 6 watches and seriously considering letting go few of them.

Got a subC, then A bb, then a OP36, then a BB GMT.

I tend to wear Rolex during the week and Tudor on the weekends due to attire. I am a Tudor fan.

Bought 2 rolex's before my Tudor harrods and then recently a GS.

I Wear the tudor every now and then but nowhere near as much as my Rolex's or GS. Due to thin wrists, the size just doesn't do it for me unfortunately :(

I had four Rolex when I bought my first Tudor a Red Black Bay eta, then followed with a Blue Heritage Chrono, then four others...........I then flipped all the Tudor's but recently bought a Harrods Black Bay and BB58. The only two watches I've ever flipped and regretted were those first two Tudor's. I rotate watches depending on how I feel, it may be a day, few days. week at the most

I did but Tudor won over the first round:-)
I ordered the Rolex first, a BLRO, when I went to pick it up I didn't like the bezel pastel colors, looked different than the pictures I saw on Rolex website... The Tudor GMT had just arrived so I went out of the Rolex Boutique with the Tudor on my wrist!
Almost a year later, end of November this year, I got my Rolex, a SeaDweller 43. Tudor on my wrist as much as my Rolex, even during the honeymoon phase with the Rolex.

My first Rolex watch was the BLNR, that same week I added a black bay. Why? Something a little more under the radar and nice watch to have in rotation.

A few years on I have added a DaytonaC, BLNR and reverso but the watch which gets most wrist time is my BB GMT. I’m at university so something without rolex on the dial is what I need. Don’t want any attention.

When I’m back from uni, I wear the BLNR DaytonaC and reverso all the time though!

Rolex’s first, then sold the Batman (for a nice profit) and bought the Tudor GMT which gets an awful lot of wrist time.

Rolex first for ages. Then first Tudor was the All Black LE Chrono. Amazing watch, love to look at it. Sadly, no easy link adjustment and sits a just a smidge too high. Maybe have worn it 3 days max since getting it.

I like the contrast it brings to the collection, still think it's a great purchase, but it competes against some big boys to get wrist time. Was offered a Tudor GMT last year and this year as well...love the watch when I tried it on...so not pulling the trigger since I know it wont get any wrist time.
