My 5726/1a is probably “worth” ~$125K and I wear it all the time. I also drive my Ferraris.
As a wise person once said, “I’ve done the math, and you’re dead for a very long time.” |

I’ve a 5990 and a 5711, amongst othets and for the life of me I cannot put them on my wrist any longer… these prices I see reflected on dealer sites and the such, how real are they? Who exactly buys at these prices?
i completely understand that fiat currency is increasingly unportable while being worth less and less all the time but watches as a store of value as compared to gold/silver/other pms is a new thing to me… unfathomable even, but it does make sense in some ways… airport scanners will definately recognize gold bars and their inherent value but FOR NOW you could comfortable cross borders with a tiffany dial 5711 and no one would be none the wiser you just moved millions without notice… |

If you make $100,000 profit on a 5711, after taxes it's still $65,000. Hardly worth complaining about. |

Skyrocketing costs are unfortunate but I enjoy rotating the 5711 and 5164 as my daily wears.
Pics always help the conversation :)
