Guess I'll just have to make do with the old Sea Dweller 50th, poor me

Way ahead of you. I'm in the market for a Moonwatch currently

She's back!!! Picked up yesterday. They said 6-8 weeks for repairs in Switzerland but it made it back in four. Glad to have her back on my wrist.

The replaced the bezel and insert only. Total was $270. They did not open it up. They said this was due to my request, but I didn't actually say that. Must have had to do with how the store wrote it up. I checked it today and it's running about +1 sec, so looks good. What an adventure. Lesson learned - avoid tile floors!

Looks wonderful. I am really glad that it was returned in a shorter time than you originally thought as well. Enjoy it, and be careful out there.

Thanks for the positive vibes everyone. Glad to have it back for sure. Grabbed a slightly out of focus lume shot on the way in this afternoon. Tudor lume is really impressive

Reading threads like this, I've grown to love Breitling's way of handling bezels on their watches. Be it steel bezel or ceramic bezel, they have little screws all around the bezel which will help it not pop-out when you hit against the wall or even when it meets the tiles!

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Tile can be detrimental to your time pieces.

Thanks pal. It was my bad, but glad they fix was relatively easy and inexpensive.

That's interesting. Do the screws hold the bezel in, or the insert, or both? My bezel stayed put and was still operational, it was the aluminum insert that came out.

Glad it’s sorted now! Did your credit card benefits administrator reimburse you for the service expenses?

Still working on it. Last communication from them sounds like they will only pay AFTER I submit a claim to my homeowner's policy. Of that's the case I'll just pay it myself.

Sorry that this happened, it does happen so don’t beat yourself up. I dropped my 16570 just recently, and although there was just a small ding on the back of the watch it started running horrendously almost immediately. I sent it back into Rolex who fixed it...it can be expensive but it comes back all sorted and the peace of mind knowing the proper people have fixed the watch is great. I feel your pain and know how you feel. Hope you get it sorted, I was glad a sent it in to Rolex to be fixed.

Change the strap while you change the Bezel also - no Rolex should be on a cheap strap.

Final Update - Received word from Chase Visa that my claim has been APPROVED and they are sending me a check for $270 to cover the repair as we speak.

A big THANK YOU to the several members who pointed this out in this thread. I had no idea purchase protection even existed. You guys saved me $270

Glad to hear! The purchase and travel protection on my Sapphire Reserve has come in handy for me countless times.

Looks like a neat way to hold it in place.
