It will make it a MUCH harder choice to choose
between the VC Overseas and the RO now....

The added WR rating of the VC is still a big factor to me.

Some obvious changes:

- 41mm, up from 39mm
- replaced 12 o'clock AP logo with double baton marker
- small AP logo added
- elongated hour markers
- white date on dark background

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see one but I won't be releasing my 15300 anytime soon.

The new hour markers seem a bit too long for my taste.

Looks nice in pictures but lets wait for Monday :)

I'm assuming this is the new Jumbo? If so, will be sad to see it go...

If its replacing the 15300, 41mm with RO case would be too big for me so I'm safe :D

At this point i still prefer the 39mm 15300, The baton markers are looking a bit too long and also the double batons at 12 o'clock makes it look more like a sport watch.

But this can change when i get to try one on.

Another piece i look forward to try on is something new in two tone

I may be biased having just bought a 15300 but I actually prefer the 39mm model. Not too Keene on the boule baton 12pm markers.

How soon do people expect to see these hit the shops are SIHH?

Not before summer, Boutiques and larger AD's will get them first then a even spread.

As a guy cursed with a thin wrist, I am totally against upsizing existing iconic models. 39mm is the perfect size for me for the RO, although I cannot say any negative points on the design. It looked cool with the 15300, and I think the changes of 15400 aren't radical enough to ruin it.

All I'm wondering now is whether the 15400 would effectively replace the 15300 or the 15202 or both or none? If it arrives by keeping one of the 39mm models still in production, then the world will still be a perfect place

Sure to be a winner..

Only downside is I'm sure it's gonna come with a hefty price jump.
I'll look foward to checking it out when I head up to Manhatten next month.

I wonder if they have tweaked the bracelet, Looks nice. Unfortunately with people getting more obese watchmakers are following by making bigger watches.

One thing I was hoping for the next RO is a dual 'Big Date' aperture, either at '12' or at '6'. Plus I wonder if this one will have the exhibition caseback.

I actually love the double batons at twelve resembling the first Royal Oak from 1972. Gorgeous piece. I think I know what I want for my 40 birthday this year!!!

I love the AP logo at 6 o'clock where it should've been on that new 41mm model. 37mm is too small for me.

I wonder if the ROC will follow, if not this year maybe next year?

I actually prefer the 39 as it is already a biggish size watch due to the case and bezel.

Cheers,
K

The beautiful new Jumbo is 39mm---same size as before, and carrying the same reference number (15202). The changes of a smaller clous de paris hobnail pattern on the dial, and the AP logo being moved south merely make the watch that much closer to the 1972 original model. Caliber of course remains the legendary 2120.

This one is absolutely awesome, and I have nothing but respect for Audemars in preserving a true brand icon!
