Daytona 116503 or Sub 116613LB
Hi guys
I'm new to Rolex and still yet to purchase (although I have a £1000 deposit down on the 116613lb with AD Goldsmiths in the UK). I'm wondering whether to get the Daytona 116503 instead? I appreciate it's more money for the chrono but which watch will hold it's value better as I don't have loads of spare cash. Also how long is the lead time on the Daytona, anyone know? Advice please |

the bluesy will hold its value far better, TT daytonas can go for less than steel models on the secondary market
that said you should buy what you like

Well I have a bluesy sub c and love it.
That said I do like Daytonas but I wouldn't necessarily get a 2 tone personally... I'd either go PM or SS on a Daytona but you should buy what you like ... it's your wrist and $$$... |

The blue sub is my preferred choice and as I already have a deposit down to view it, I'll proceed with that if it holds its value better..
I'm just nervous as it's a lot of money, I might yet post another thread in the near future if I see another model I like LOL |

Welcome to the forum.
Had both. Kept the Bluesy. Daytona in TT with white dial is a beautiful watch but wore a touch small for me and much harder to read the time. Love the 6 digit bluesy. Maxi dial/hands, ceramic and glide lock with a sunburst dial is a hard to beat combo. Either way both great pieces. Get to an AD and try them on and see what sings to you.

If you are worried about resale I hope you got a really good discount from Goldsmiths, they would not be my first choice for that.

116613 for me. Resale is good on this watch.. Bought mine brand new for £8500 in October 2016 before the price hike, now you'll pay that for a pre-owned.
In days past, if you bought a brand new 5 digit (16613) sub it could be a decade before it appreciated back to what you paid for it. |
