Breitling Question

Hi guys:

Just wanted to see if anyone recently bought a breitling and what kind of discount was given.

Thanks

I know this is not a rolex topic, but I am in the market for one and I know I can always count on TRF for good advice

Hey,

I just bought two yesterday - but I buy in bulk, so not sure if that applies. But I bought a 2-tone Windrider Chronomat Evo at 55% off (used, but looks absolutely new) and a steel Windrider Chronomat Evo at 45% off (store display model).

Good idea - also, don't shy away from pre-owned. Breitling especially, as they are designed to hold up better than most.

i agree - i love breitlings, but they don't hold their value well. unless it's a very limited piece, you can easily get 50% or more off by buying used. Not hard to find a mint Breitling at 60% off MSRP.

if you are buying new, I get 30%-35% off unless it's a hard to get model.

I stopped by a Breitling AD in Cincinnati today and was offered 20% off a Navitimer without trying very hard.

I bought mine in Cincinnati as well and got 25% off my Avenger Skyland without trying very hard. I talked to a guy in NY who said that with all the competition there you can get better deals. I am actually trying to sell mine which is 1 month (to bet a Rolex Sea Dweller) old and having trouble getting interest at 40% off list.

So, I would definitely check the pre-owned markets at Timezone and Watchuseek for the model you are looking for - most likely they are all over the place. Good luck!

Depending on the model, 30% - 40% off MSRP is pretty standard. As far as holding value goes, don't be afraid of Breitling - just get a good deal upfront. I would lose more money on resale with my Rolex Sub than with my Breiting Super Avenger.
