Hi all, been following this forum for a while just decided to join, I’ve been trying to purchase my first Rolex, a new Sub 116610LN for nearly 3 years, most AD’s (i’m London based) I tried weren’t interested in putting me on a waiting list or even taking any details, one dealer finally took my details around 6 months ago and I’ve just emailed them as I think sadly the pandemic situation will maybe my only chance of acquiring one but as reading through posts it’s unknown regarding supply so will wait and see.

Good luck; hopefully it will work out for you. Nothing wrong with keeping in touch with the AD. You might consider purchasing from a TS.

Trusted Seller. And I would pay no more than MSRP from one for now. Either your AD will call or trusted seller prices, especially on a 116610LN, will come back down to MSRP or even lower. Give it time...

Hey there, welcome to TRF....best of luck getting the Sub date, I hope it works out for you. If not or if you get tired of waiting, like Lee mentioned you can always contact a Trusted Seller from here to negotiate a price on the watch.

Welcome to the forum. I’m pretty new myself.

Buying a Rolex is a waiting game. If you can afford it, buying something else from the AD (that they have) will increase your chances. If you want to enjoy now, trusted seller is way to go.

Welcome to TRF . Perhaps try an ad outside of London . Members have reported purchasing from smaller ad's outside of the metropolitan areas . Good luck

Just wait, you will be able to buy msrp from an AD very soon.

TS means trusted seller, same as grey market.

I found smaller independent AD’s to be more helpful than the large groups. As crazy as it sounds, you need to enjoy the wait because it’s a great feeling when you finally get the call. Good luck!

Thanks I have tried a few independents with no luck, they all seem to want a history of buying, it’s been nearly 3 years and its tiring especially as I don’t know if i’m any nearer acquiring.

Welcome. My first Rolex was a Sub date in 1979, I've bought and sold quite a few since and still have 4 with one more on the way. You definitely should be able to get a sub date soon, good luck!!

I think there is a section called The Who's who". Apparently members use this area to decide who is trusted or not.
