UK Watchmaker
Can anybody recommend a good guy in the UK who can carry out basic tasks like crystal swaps etc without being told I need to send my 1680 off for months!!! ????
The last 2 I used really successfully have now retired. .... |

Where in the UK are you based?
Might be worth asking on more UK based watch forums, such as TZ - https://forum.tz-uk.com/ |

Try Duncan Hewitt, The Watch Bloke.
Based in reading, has done bits on my 16800 and I was very happy. |

I have had small jobs done while I waited at watch doc in tring
Nice people Ernest Jones in Mk used to have a in house Rolex trained bloke who would do small jobs for the cost of the parts Not sure if he is still there As for changing the crystal do it yourself it’s a very easy job Then take to timpsons ,yes I know, and have it pressure tested |

Thanks for all your replies everyone. I'm gonna get a T19 superdome from Michael Young for my 1680. Have searched and read past posts on here. Great info! Any fresh stories and especially pics would be welcome too.
