Looking at a GMT PAM00297

Hi Guys,

I am looking at a PAM00297, it will be my first ever PAM and I am unsure of a couple of points.

Its a 2009 model and its recently been serviced by Panerai, however it states

"This particular watch went to Panerai's UK service centre in June 2020 where it underwent a complete service, exchange of Sapphire crystal (glass) as well as a refurbishment to the case and bracelet. This work came to a total of (£779.40)"

Will a new Safire effect the watch? Will it make it not a true original? Obviously I know its new but just wondering it makes the watch 'Lesser' if you know what I mean?

Thanks in advance
