The wait is killing me

As I have stated in other threads, my new OP had to be sent to RSC NY for some warranty work. The wait is killing me. It's been away for 11 days and I can't think of anything else. I know the best advice is to buy another one, but it's not gonna happen. How do I pass the time?

Well that just stinks, what happened to that gorgeous OP? Spend the time right here, plenty of shoulders to cry on!

You could always buy another watch. Seriously I ended up with my 114060 because I sent in my other (non-Rolex) watch for service back in early November. When it wasn't back by mid January, I told myself "screw it" - I'm buying a Rolex - and I did. I'd been looking for a loooong time, but it was the right combination of circumstances that finally put the Sub on my wrist.

Oh yeah, I finally got the other watch back last week. No kidding - 6 months!!

I can only imagine how your feeling...I'm thinking of requesting a replacement crystal on my BLNR due to the well publicised cyclops mag issues, I just don't want to be without out it when I've only had it a few weeks.

I'd buy something to hold me over... not necessarily breaking the bank, just something for the meantime...

My brand new D-Blue currently in with RSC having bezel misalignment corrected, so I feel your pain. Don't think I will have it back for the UK bank holiday weekend as they said they would...sigh.

Mine was gaining 20-30 seconds a day, but only if I wore it. This started about 3 weeks into owning it. Prior to that, it had been gaining about 7 seconds a day which I was fine with. I'm not too obsessive. However, I think there may have been a problem with the main spring not slipping when fully wound causing the rotor to overdrive the watch to knocking. I don't know, I guess I will find out from Rolex. Not sure all the great "incomings" on here are helping.

Hoping my trusty Orient will keep the wolves at bay. It's fine but not the same.

Wear your Timex. The Rolex will be much more appreciated when it's back on your wrist!

Thanks for the info mate, I will keep an eye on mine. So far (haven't done any rigorous timing yet) it gained one second in two days. That is acceptable. However I got my watch the 9th, so it's way to early to jump to any conclusions.

I hope you get your watch back soon, in perfect condition!
