Here're the answer.

1. They told me that they need to peel off the bar code sticker. It's Rolex policy. I somehow came home with full stickers.

2. I got a bottled water. I was thinking about Champagne. Ended up drinking pilsners across from the AD

I wish I could report positive experiences at the AD. The ADs here are 1) relatively unfriendly and 2) not very knowledgeable. Today, I asked what movement is in the Datejust I had just tried on and she made it seem like I was speaking a foreign language. Last time I went in, I asked about the differences between the Tudor BB and a SubC and nothing remotely knowledgeable came out (different rep at a different store).

I know that these are fairly specific questions but if I’m thinking about dropping that much on a watch, I want the person selling it to me to have more qualifications than just unlocking a case and swiping a credit card. I wasn’t asking these questions to pop quiz them or anything - I was genuinely curious about the answers but got nothing. What’s the point of a brick and mortar store if I can’t get answers more specific than the price?

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with your local AD.
I understand your struggle. I want my sale rep to have knowledge and good customer service. If I am going to spend that much money, I want to be treated right. If I were you, I'd try to go talk to another AD. Happy hunting!!

Do you have a pic of the glove?

Just bought a SD43 and they wouldn’t let me leave without all the stickers off...

Sounds like a win-win. Congrats! You also got to show you are a serious buyer right away and followed through. They are as happy to find you as you are to find them.
