Another LV discontinued thread
I know this has been discussed before but I am just wondering how accurate this information is. I asked my sister's friend in Hong Kong to enquire about an LV as I am going there for a few days. Believe me when I say she is a Rolex VIP.
She came back and said that the ADs can't get it anymore as it's no longer manufactured, you have to get them through the resellers now and advised me to look there.. Had anyone else heard this? |

Just last week had 3 brand new green Submariners pass my hands, straight from Geneva. Don't think so buddy.

No one outside of Rolex corporate knows. Including whatever AD your sister spoke with.
There is obviously a shortage of supply of them likely due to high demand but no discontinuation has been announced and that is just a rumor at this point. |

doubtful. if she is a huge VIP perhaps the watch will surface for you at MSRP.
I am not sure what you mean by VIP anyway. is she related to hans wildorf? does she spend a million dollars a year on rolex? is she a brand ambassador?

Can't see the friend being much of a Rolex VIP if s/he doesn't even have their information correct.

Don't think your information is correct.
I bought one last month and my brother bought one two weeks ago. We both were on the waitinglist since November/December 2017. |

Believe "you", she is a Rolex VIP...believe that too...because this is the internet and you can believe everything people say.
Guess we better get this news over to Rolex because new ones keep showing up at ADs in the US. Don't they know that one of their VIPs has real information on production. Come on Rolex, get your act together. |

I don't believe in VIP gossip. Better get the facts straight.

Any chance it is not being sold in the Asian market anymore (doubt it), or is currently not in production (as Rolex is choosing to temporarily reassign that capacity elsewhere)? |

Thank you to the above. It wasn’t she (the VIP) who said it wasn’t made anymore but her AD and she just forwarded the message. When I mean VIP I mean I’ve seen her and her husbands collection, it’s not what I would buy but they don’t do ss models, only the shiniest, blingest and I guess their collection would be over a million quid if you include the other brands. So by VIP in this case I just mean someone who spends a good amount of money with AD.
HK used to be the place to buy Rolex and discount could be had on any but I guess not anymore (at least for ss models anyway) |

they told me the same thing in one AD then went to another one and they told me it hasn't been discontinued. They told me about the shortage in SS sport watches tho...

No you can buy it but Rolex will only deliver to major AD's right now as they cannot keep up with the general demand...

Don't think it's being discontinued....and this is coming from an owner on an LV.
