What does your watch say about what you drive?
I see all of the "what do you drive" and "BMW" and "Mercedes" and "your watch and your steering wheel" threads and have wondered if there were any correlation between what you drive and what you wear on your wrist. Of course, there's only one way to tell, so chime in TRF!
As for me, I've always preferred two door sports cars and sports watches. It's no wonder then that I drive a BMW coupe and wear an Explorer2. |

The poll doesn't account for the fact that many of us own more than one Rolex and also own more than one type of car...so the results will not be very telling.

This is not a scientific poll and it's merely for kicks. And the simple poll is very limited in options. If you have more than one Rolex and more than one car, then just pick your favorite combination. It's all for fun!

Watch= tool
Truck= tool The fact that both are high end examples of each simply means that I appreciate quality and am willing to pay for it. |

My watch says nothing about what I drive, although I do fall into one of the categories in the poll.
Up until February I would have fell into the missing category of "Feet/Bicycle: Sub, GMT, Explorer, Daytona". |

Not completely. A lot of those who are willing to spend $10,000 or more on a watch are the same people who are willing to spend money on luxury/sports cars. This does not indicate causation, but there is certainly a correlation.
There's a valid reason why luxury watch companies and luxury car companies advertise big dollars in the same magazines and on the same web sites - their target markets are very similar if not identical. After all, apples and oranges are BOTH fruits, are they not? |

For me, my watches do not relate to my cars. I base my car purchases on my current lifestyle. Although SUV's are not my preference, I bought one and got rid of one of my sport sedans because I have kids. As my kids get older, I may very well get another SUV and get rid of my other sport sedan.

I've driven a few cars since I've owned Rolexes. Some are comparable, some aren't.

Well, I wear Rolex sports and I drive a sport utility (Jeep wrangler) Some correlation there I guess.

What happens if you don't own a car?
You might as well ask what do my boxer shorts say about the watch I wear? The answer in all cases should be "none".
