Best/Favorite Rolex Presidential for under 10k?

Hello everyone,

I went to my AD today and got placed on a waiting list for a used Rolex 18k presidential day-date that would cost under 10k.

Is there a specific model to stay away from or a model that is considered better than others?

Also, is there any AD's online that would ship to my local AD for a pickup?

Thanks for helping me with these new guy questions...been trying to do as much research as possible.

I like 18238 and 1803. Hope you get what you like.

1803 should be doable.

Beside condition, biggest factor influencing day date price seems to be the day changing mechanism, which also corresponds to the age of the watch. It will be referred to as non quick (late 70's? and earlier, single quick and double quick. Also most will 36mm, 41mm or 40mm are newer, probably 20k plus. I see a lot with diamond dials, maybe most of those are aftermarket. Good luck!

If you can get an 18038 for under 10, go for it (especially with a dial other than champagne). Worst case, an 1803 is fine- it just wont have a sapphire crystal.
