$50k to build 3 watch collection

Assume secondary market prices.

Only brands you can choose from: Rolex, AP, PP, Lange, JLC, Breguet, Omega.

What would you do?

For $50k I’d go one watch..DD40 in platinum with the ice blue dial. Insure it, wear it daily!

In my case, it would be:

Patek Phillipe 5711 - 24k
Skydweller SS Blue Dial - 15k
Sub 116610 Hulk - 10k

And some change....

Speedmaster, Sea Dweller 43 or Blancpain Bathyscape Fifty Fathoms. That should leave about $35K, a Day Date should be easily attainable for that $$. I'm not familiar with PP's enough but if you could get a Nautilus for that $35K that's a great watch, but I think it'll be SS not PM like a DD would be.

Well, 5711 (~40) and a Hulk (~10) would be a pretty killer 2 watch collection.

Hmmm, I’d rather have a $50k 2 watch collection. But ok. How about a $12-15k rose gold ALS basic watch, a $22k Smurf or BLRO, and a SS Daytona with what’s left?

Well, in the same way that I like yours in your sig, I like my two watch collection in my sig. lol

For something different, maybe a WG blue dial Sub (Smurf) for casual and a RG green dial Day Date for more dressy occasions.

What I like about $50k for two watches is that it really opens up the PM possibilities in Rolex used market.

$50k to build 3 watch collection

Day date , steel diver, steel gmt. I could be happy with those three all from Rolex.
